Claire Abramoff

Dr. Claire Abramoff is an assistant program director of emergency medicine practicing in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her resident and ultrasound fellowship at Emory University, after doing medical school at The Ohio State University. After working in Chicago during her husband’s fellowship, the family moved to Philadelphia and has settled in. She is passionate about residency education, civic engagement, and women’s health issues. She has worked passionately in Philadelphia to co-create Philly Med Votes, a coalition of healthcare providers across the city at many different institutions working collaboratively to increase voter registration in the healthcare setting and strives to give her patients a voice in the political system.

She joined Influent to help improve the understanding of living and working as a medical student, resident, and physician and hopefully provide insights and advise that can make the road easier for future physicians.

Outside of work, Dr. Abramoff is a busy mom of three young children and is constantly shuffling kids to gymnastics, soccer, and wrestling. She is working on exploring every dog park in the greater Philadelphia area with her lab, Pickles. She plays the violin in the PennMed Symphony Orchestra and is an avid Pelotoner in her moments of free time.
